I am writing this review before my divorce has been settled because I am so impressed, I can't wait any longer to write my review. I contacted DeTommaso Law Group after a failed attempt at Collaborative, and being stalled in the litigation process with another attorney for a year and a half. If I had contacted them at the beginning of my divorce process, it would have taken months instead of years. I worked with Kevin Lauterman and Michael DeTommaso. What an amazing team! Kevin was compassionate and is an incredible communicator. Emails were answered within hours and I was involved every step of the way. Michael immediately initiated the appropriate Motions and issued subpoenas to obtain missing Discovery. His no-nonsense approach accomplished more in a few months than my previous attorney had accomplished in years. Their intimate knowledge of marital laws, legal decisions, and my "rights" inspired confidence. They knew I was on a tight budget and they were extremely fair with their billing. There is nothing worse than going through a divorce where every day feels like a week as you wait to hear about the fate of your financial situation, the custody of your children, who will get the house....so a phone call that is returned within a few minutes or hours instead of returned in a week or longer makes all the difference. I have since witnessed friends who have gone through divorces and I have I cringed as I see the experiences they have had with their lawyers not responding for weeks on end. Michael and his staff turn things around quickly and make acurracy and responsiveness their top priority. I never had to wait more than an hour for Michael to respond to an email I may have sent or a phone call I made even on weekends. He was always reachable and responsive. He has a deep knowledge and vast experience with Divorce law and was full of sound advice and helped me manage my emotional state as I tried to make the best decisions for my situation. Michael also did a terrific job making sure to review the settlement agreement from every angle and loophole to protect my best interests. I have since recommend him to friends and family and will continue to do so.
